• @ZanyDecals - Welcome to the MTC (Make the Cut) Forum. Make the Cut is a 3rd party software program that works with a variety of electronic cutters including the Silhouette SD, Portrait and Cameo. I don't know anything about the refine 721 however. Since you are on the MTC forum, most of us here would tell you that it is the 'best program' to use with your Cameo! In fact, many here have the Cameo and choose to use MTC with it rather than the Silhouette software.
  Using MTC, you can cut out colors in order by using the 'layers' feature in MTC. You can put each color on its own layer, close all but one layer and cut then close that layer, open another layer and cut, etc. Another option is to place all the same color pieces together in one area of your mat, and another color in another area and put the paper,vinyl, etc. of each color in that area of the mat and cut. MTC also offers 'Pages' that can be used to 'sort' a project into different cuts.
  You can download a free trial of MTC from there home page found here: http://make-the-cut.com When you go to the download page, you will also want to download the 'plug-in' for your Cameo machine. The 'plug-in' file is needed in order for MTC To know the 'language' needed to speak to that particular machine. Good luck. Let us know if we can answer any further questions for you.

  can I get the silhouette to cut out colours in order ? for when I'm building pictures on walls ?

  Welcome to our forum. Flexi will surely run your refine cutter - I think not so much for the silhouette - though it may be possible - or even trivial to make it work. I don't have either cutters you are talking about - nor the over $4,000 for the program you mention! I do know there are ways to pirate that program - not saying that you did this you understand. A lot of the power of Flexi Pro is aimed at large format printing - RIP and Print and Cut functions that will be of no use to us in a hobby machine world.
  MTC! is available for less than $60 with MANY of the vinyl cutting features Flexi-Pro has - and even some that it probably does not have yet. (I haven't seen Flexi in operation since a few versions back)
  The ease of putting together a design for a wall art project in MTC! will save you more than the $4,000 price tag on flexi in time and aggravation saved even figuring minimum wage for your time LOL.
  @Andy is constantly working to improve MTC! - the program is great - and gets better with each new version.
  And this forum will be a source of help and friendships you will come to value.
  So seriously RUN to the web page (http://www.make-the-cut.com/) and BUY!! MTC! it is a greater value than any other cutting program I can think of.
  As to cutting out the shapes in order - that is controlled by the colors you load in the cutter - you can make the colors cut individually from MTC! (and the $4,000 program also will handle this task).
